Espaces pédagogiques interactifs

This course is designed to improve academic English language skills including vocabulary, 
grammar, reading, writing, and speaking. It also provides a forum for the critical study of various 
historical and contemporary topics in academia.  Each semester this class is built around a unique 
theme.  This semester’s theme is nationalism. Nationalism is a term which is often used for 
political and personal purposes, although it has many different definitions. This class will 
provide an overview of some of the major theories and examples of nationalism with a particular 
emphasis on English language literature.  This course assumes that students have at least a high 
B1 level understanding of English and will be taught entirely in English. The goal of this course 
is to improve the student’s ability to discuss and write about academic topics in English.
