Espaces pédagogiques interactifs

This seminar takes experimental cinema as a vantage point from which to explore broader questions in the history of images: how do artists think through the moving image? What does cinema borrow from, and give back to, the other arts? And how do its technical conditions, analog or digital, shape what we see? Each session will pair a methodological problem with one or two case studies. Weekly readings, drawn from film theory, art history, and media studies, will combine historical foundations with contemporary debates.
