Through concrete cases drawn from current economic events or recent economic history, the lecture Topics in Economics seeks to introduce students to some of the major themes that have been addressed by economists up to today: the return of inflation, the slowing down of economic growth, the obstacles to economic development, the rise in inequalities, the permanent risk of economic crises, etc. This lecture aims to compare empirical facts with economic theories, which are mostly presented in a non-formalized way.
