Presentation
This course is devoted to macroeconomics with a particular focus on long term growth and, later in the semester, fluctuations. The main emphasis is on the theory but we take the time to present the main stylized facts.
There is no textbook. For those interested in alternative presentation of these models, you can read Introduction to Modern Economic Growth by D. Acemoglu (MIT). This is an in-depth presentation of the theories. It is quite technical (more than the course) but it is very clearly exposed.
Chapter 1 - The Solow Growth Model
Chapter 2 - Endogenous Growth Models
Chapter 3 - Schumpetarian Growth
Chapter 3 - The Neoclassical Growth Model
Chapter 5 - Stochastic Growth Models
