For those of you who do not feel comfortable with standard imperfect competition models (Cournot, Bertrand, Hotelling...), the chapter on Market Power in Microeconomic Theory (Mas-Collel et al.) is a very comprehenive overview.

In this chapter:
- We will present in class the basic model of horizontal merger with Cournot compeition
- P. Gagnepain will present the basics of the empirics of horizontal mergers.
- A paper presentation that discusses the impact of cost efficiencies in case of imperfect substitutes and Cournot competition.
You will find below the slides and later if presented the paper presentation.

You will find below a collection of exercises. Because the content of the course has changed these recent years, we do not develop this year all the concepts needed to solve these exercises. Nevertheless, some of them may be still usefull. For instance, for the chapter on entry, exercises 3, 4 and 5.
