Droit international privé comparé (fr. ou en.) - M2JI-Boden-2025-2026

The course of Comparative Private International Law is taught in English to the students of the Master 2 "Juriste international" (and to the students in international exchange authorized to attend this course) by Mr. Didier Boden, maître de conférences (associate professor) at the Sorbonne School of Law (the Faculty of Law of the University Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne). Its object is the set of rules of non-conventional and non-European law of international jurisdiction of the courts of France, Italy, Switzerland, Belgium, the Netherlands, Spain, Germany and England, and the rules of non-conventional and non-European law of these same countries relating to the effects of foreign judgments. The comparative study of these rules, limited to what is called "civil and commercial matters", is preceded by an Introduction in which are recalled the role still devolved today to non-conventional and non-European law, and other elements indispensable for understanding the continuation of the course.

Le cours de Droit international privé comparé destiné aux étudiants du Master 2 «Juriste international» (et aux étudiants en échange international autorisés à suivre ce cours) est dispensé en anglais par M. Didier Boden, maître de conférences à l'École de Droit de la Sorbonne (Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne). Il a pour objet les règles de «droit commun» (droit non conventionnel et non européen) de compétence internationale des tribunaux de France, d'Italie, de Suisse, de Belgique, des Pays-Bas, d'Espagne, d'Allemagne et d'Angleterre, et les règles de droit commun de ces mêmes pays relatives aux effets des jugements étrangers. L'étude comparative de ces règles, en se limitant à ce qui est appelé la «matière civile et commerciale», est précédé d'une Introduction dans laquelle sont rappelés le rôle restant dévolu aujourd'hui au droit commun ainsi entendu, et d'autres éléments indispensables à la compréhension de la suite.
