This workshop will explore the ambiguous relationship between our visual culture and the concept of truth in an era marked by conspiracy theories. Drawing on methodological and aesthetic considerations, students will develop a participatory mapping of techniques used to create emotionally charged images. Through critical discussions, hands-on experiments with OSINT tools and visual anthropology methodologies, this workshop will use visual works and text to explore the visual strategies that make these images, objects of fascination and persuasion.
