Course Description: Computing Archaeology
This course provides an introduction to the use of digital tools in archaeology. Students will explore the complete lifecycle of archaeological data, from field acquisition to processing, analysis, visualisation, preservation, and dissemination.
Through case studies and practical exercises, the course will cover database management, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), photogrammetry, 3D modelling, and the challenges associated with the long-term preservation, accessibility, and sharing of scientific data.
