Dear students,

the in-lecture-hall end of semester test will take place during teaching week 11, on Tuesday, April 14, in Lecture Hall I, at the usual time of the lecture.

Please read the instructions below very carefully.

Organization

        -  The exam will last 40 minutes (this is a strict maximum and must not be exceeded).

        -  The exam will take place in two sessions, depending on your tutorial (TD) group. Make sure you attend the correct session for your group.

         - Groups 1301, 1302A, 1302B, 1303A, 1303B, and 1304 will take the exam in the first session, from 11:35 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. (there is therefore no need to come at this time if you belong to another group).

         - Groups 1305, 1306, 1307, 1308, 1309, and 1310 will take the exam in the second session, from 12:35 p.m. to 1:15 p.m. The lecture hall will only be accessible to these groups from 12:30 p.m., once it has been fully cleared by the first group.

         - Exception: students who are unable to attend the first session (11:35–12:15) due to a timetable conflict may take the exam during the second session (12:35–1:15), regardless of their tutorial group. They are simply asked to inform me before the start of the exam so that their paper can be properly forwarded to their tutorial instructor.

        - As you will have understood, a break of about 15 minutes is scheduled between the two sessions to collect exam sheets. Thank you in advance for helping ensure this process runs smoothly.

        - No documents or connected devices of any kind will be allowed during the exam.

-No materials are required except a pen (no pencil, please), to complete the pre-filled answer sheet.

Attendance requirement

Your presence at this assessment is mandatory in order to validate continuous assessment in full, and therefore your final grade (except for students registered for terminal examination only).

Exam content

  • The exam will cover all texts and chapters studied in lectures and tutorials.
  •          However, the introduction to the section of the course on Marx dealing with historical materialism will not be included (slides number 5).
  •           SECTION 6 OF THE TUTORIAL BOOKLET ON WALRAS IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE REVISION PROGRAM.
  •           By contrast, the first part of the course on John Bates Clark and marginalism will be included.
  •           All lecture slides will be posted this evening (Tuesday, March 31) to facilitate your revision.
