- (21) Flood Risk and Inequality: A Micro-Level Analysis of French Communes
Flood risk is unevenly distributed across French communes. Your study will examine how that distribution relates to the socio-economic characteristics of local populations. As heavy rainfall events are projected to become more intense with global warming—particularly during winter and autumn—the resulting flood-related damages are expected to increase in the coming decades. The analysis will identify the areas most exposed to this heightened risk and the populations that are most vulnerable to its impacts.
As a first step, you will identify the relevant literature and the databases publicly available.
