  • You will make a research project during this year and document it in a Thesis manuscript OR a Scientific research paper. You can choose a subject from the list  proposed by CRI,  continue working on the subject you explored during your Research Thesis M1 or define a new subject. 

    Tutoring sessions:

    Tutoring sessions (Séances tutorales) are obligatory; During these sessions you will present your progress on your research progress and obtain a feedback from a jury. The details on the objectives, deliverables expected  and evaluation guidelines for each TS can be found in the documents below. 

    TS1:  Problem proposal and definition of Methodology - A part REC-METH class 

    • 5 min presentation + 5 min discussion

    TS2: Definition of research protocol  (ZOOM meeting) 

    • 15 min presentation + 15 min discussion

    TS3: Project Progress Presentation  (ZOOM meeting)  

    • 15 min presentation + 15 min discussion

    Submission of the complete draft of the Thesis Manuscript

    Submission of the Final Version of the Thesis Manuscript - 1 week before the Final Defence

    Final Defence: 

    Anticipated (in agreement with the supervisor): June-July - @PMF (TBD) 

    Regular: September @PMF (TBD) 

    • presentation 20 min+ 20 min discussion
    • presence of MA is very welcome
    • final version of the manuscript to be transmitted in PDF (or printed out if requested by a jury member) to all the jury members

    ATTENTION: To work on the Master Thesis and to prepare for the Tutoring Sessions, you need to contact your supervisor and to schedule the individual follow-up meetings 

    EVALUATION

    The Master Thesis is evaluated based on the tutoring sessions (TS1 - TS3), a Master Thesis manuscript, and a final thesis defence. The tutoring sessions are not gradet, though they provide the indicators on the further success of the project.
