Dear Students,
It seems finally that the Political Economy exam is taking place on Wednesday 18 May, from 10 am to 12 noon.
As I have already said, you will be asked to answer ONE question from a list of at least six: at least one question for each of the six sections in the course.
Again, as I have said before, the idea is to allow you to specialise in your revision on a area of particular interest (although you may be advised to prepare a back-up topic, just in case the exact question on your specialty subject does not suit you fully).
You will be invited to answer the question, in class and by computer, and then send me your essay by email, at the end of the exam. This will allow me to mark AND comment your papers - usefully, hopefully - and then send them back to you easily via email.
You will be able to use Internet: it is a "open bar" exam :-) but don't get drunk on all the information you can access. You will be marked on the quality of your answer to the specific question!
Morgan, correctly, said that you should make sure your computers are well-charged for the two-hour exam, and also bring a USB stick to transfer your essay to me, if necessary.
If for any reason, you prefer to give me a hand-written essay, instead of sending a Word Document, you may do so.
In any case, we can discuss all this in the three remaining classes.
Kind regards,
Nicholas Sowels
