Dear Students,
This is just an email to summarise and restate the information I have already given you in class about the final exam.
The exam lasts two hours, and you will have to write one essay, from a large selection of questions. There will be at least one question for each section of the course.
Check the old exam paper for 2022 on the Epi to see the kind of questions I usually ask.
Your essay style: do what you are used to doing. In other
words, use the essay style that you are most familar with and construct a
clear argument answering the question, with the knowledge you have.
I am particularly interested in knowing what you think, and how you use your knowledge to address one of the many issues we discussed in class.
The questions will be relatively broad, and in principle should not be trick questions.
You may bring an old-fashioned paper dictionary to the exam to help with spelling and translation. Otherwise, you just need a pen.
I want you to do as well as you can in this course.
Kind regards,
Nicholas Sowels
